(PARK CITY, UT) Kimball Art Center to host a reimagined 51st annual Park City Kimball Arts Virtual Festival.
This year’s festival will be a virtual experience coupled with pop-up educational programming on Historic Main Street, Park City during the car-free Sunday event on August 2nd from 10am-5pm. Thanks to the Utah Office of Tourism and Summit County Restaurant Tax, Kimball Art Center has redesigned the official Park City Kimball Arts Festival website to promote featured artists and local community partners. New content, Art Talks , will be uploaded to celebrate the work of artists and community members. Art Talks , featured on Wednesdays, will include a virtual exhibition, KAC art classes, insights from local businesses, and discussions with community members about creativity in our community. The new website will launch July 31, 2020, and will stay live through 2021. Support arts fest artists here at Park City Arts Festival.
Kimball Art Center is communicating with Park City Municipal Corporation and Historic Park City Alliance to provide safe and physically distant in-person education programs on Main Street during the car-free Sunday event on August 2nd from 10 am-5 pm. KAC will provide take-home art kits for children and adults, including mini canvas collages, felt dolls, macrame wall hangings, decorating flower pots, and stained glass using contact paper that share our philosophy of artistic production and research. These programs allow visitors to safely participate in the artistic process with individual “creative kits” designed by our Education Staff, stationed along Main Street. “We aspire to honor our 51-year tradition of celebrating art on Main Street by providing insight into the artistic process from the voices of our community and the Arts Fest artists we have worked with for many years,” said Kimball Art Center’s executive director Aldy Milliken.
The 51st annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival’s virtual space will launch on July 31, 2020 on Park City Arts Festival. In-person programming will take place on August 2nd, 10am-5pm on Historic Main Street, Park City, UT.
