Artist Reception: Friday, July 26th, 2024, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Visit Montgomery Lee Fine Art at 608 Main Street on Historic Main Street during the Park City Gallery Stroll to meet the artist and author, Dr. Don Weller in person, and view his curated artwork. He will also be signing several of his books on sale in the gallery.
Don Weller, a Utah resident, specializes in western paintings of cutting horses — bred and trained for cutting, a modern equestrian competition requiring a horse and rider to separate a single cow from a herd of cattle and prevent it from getting back to the herd. Don’s most recent awards include the 2020 Western Heritage Award from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum for Don’s memoir, Don Weller: Tracks. Don was also awarded the Lifetime Achievement award from the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators and an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the San Francisco Academy of Art.
The reception will coincide with the Park City Gallery Stroll.
