Park City’s vibrant arts scene is set to expand with the addition of new and returning members to the Park City Gallery Association. This year welcomes two new galleries, LIK Fine Art and O’Connell Gallery, as well as the return of two established favorites: MANGELSEN – Images of Nature Gallery and the Kimball Art Center (KAC).
Nestled on historic Main Street, LIK Fine Art brings a fresh perspective to Park City’s art landscape. This new gallery offers a serene escape, blending natural textures with modern elegance. Warm wood accents and soft lighting create an inviting atmosphere, showcasing Peter Lik’s iconic images of the American West. From the red rock formations of Zion to the snow-capped Wasatch Range, Lik’s work captures the spirit of the region, inviting viewers to explore dramatic vistas and tranquil landscapes. Conveniently located among charming boutiques and fine dining, LIK Fine Art is a must-visit destination for art lovers and visitors alike, whether they are in town for the Sundance Film Festival, a ski vacation, or a leisurely getaway.
The Kimball Art Center, a cornerstone of Park City’s arts community, is also rejoining the association. Founded in 1976 by Bill Kimball, the KAC is one of the region’s oldest creative non-profit organizations. The center provides international-quality art exhibitions and dynamic educational opportunities for residents and visitors alike. Committed to open engagement and artistic expression, the KAC introduces visitors to the artistic process through its educational programs, fostering creativity, community dialogues, and a deeper understanding of visual literacy. The KAC plays a vital role in Park City’s civic life, serving as a catalyst for reflection, new ways of thinking, and connection within the community.
O’Connell Gallery, Chris O’Connell’s newly opened gallery specializes in surreal, progressive interpretations of Utah’s iconic landscapes and the Rockies, O’Connell’s creations evoke emotion and challenge perception.
The walls are adorned with photographic landscapes that evoke a sense of both familiarity and alienation. The Park City Gallery Association invites you to discover the O’Connell Gallery, our newest gallery member.
Returning to the Park City Gallery Association is MANGELSEN – Images of Nature Gallery, also located on Historic Main Street. This gallery showcases the extraordinary work of Thomas D. Mangelsen, a renowned photographer and dedicated conservationist. Mangelsen’s award-winning images capture the raw beauty of nature, inspiring a deeper connection to the natural world and advocating for its preservation. Visitors can experience the artistry of this legendary photographer and appreciate his commitment to capturing the essence of the wild.
With the addition of LIK Fine Art and O’Connell Gallery as well as the return of MANGELSEN Images of Nature Gallery and the Kimball Art Center, the Park City Gallery Association reinforces Park City’s status as a thriving arts destination.
