From 15th Street Gallery

Willam Kranstover’s paintings were recently featured at The 15th Street Gallery, in one of Salt Lake City’s premier boutique commercial districts at 15th & 15th in Sugarhouse. The gallery touts an impressive and eclectic collection of contemporary fine art featuring award-winning and emerging Utah artists. While some believe fine art is a skill that can only be acquired through vigorous lessons it is an innate skill to some.

In Kranstover’s case, the “Art Spirit” has always been known to him. He began painting very early and continued throughout college at the University of Wisconsin. He has taught art in Australia and continues to teach in Utah. What defines his works from many others is the personal investment in his processes and how it pertains to the art he creates within his community, of which he is a fervent advocate. He has received the prestigious Meritorious Service Award for art in his community. Kranstover has received numerous awards for painting and sculptures at the Springville Museum in Springville, Utah, and has participated in many one-man and group shows at the Kimball Art Center in Park City, Utah.
